Learn More About Oxygen

Oxygen is our Greatest Energy Source, Oxygen Increases Stamina and Endurance…

Oxygen is the primary source of energy. It is the fuel required for the proper operation of
all body systems: 90% of our energy comes from oxygen... Only 10% comes from food and
water. Oxygen Gives the Body the Ability to Rebuild Itself, Oxygen Detoxifies the Blood,
and Strengthens the Immune System …

Potentially harmful free radicals in the body are displaced by oxygen. Oxygenation also
neutralizes environmental toxins, and destroys anaerobic infectious bacteria and
parasites. Oxygen performs a vital role in the carriage of microbes, acids, proteins, and
other nutrients in the body.

Oxygen is "The Elixir of Life" - and is the Most Critical Element for Life.

Breathing is the one activity that we do automatically so soon as we are born. Yet,
generally, we take the atmosphere for granted. We do not think to learn how to improve
our breathing technique or to question the quality of the air that we breathe!

Why Are We Not Getting Enough Oxygen?

Our Life Circumstances can Affect our Oxygen Levels …

Imbalance in lifestyle can result in oxygen deprivation. A lack of aerobic exercise may
prevent organs and muscles from absorbing the oxygen needed to revitalize at the cellular
level.

Physical stresses, illness and infection can tax oxygen consumption as the body fights the
invading bacteria. The by-products of chemical toxins in the body may reduce oxygen
uptake as the liver's workload increases to filter out those toxins and waste.

Emotional stress produces adrenaline. Adrenaline related hormones can put strain on
major organs such as the brain and the heart, and increase the need for oxygen.

Our ecological balance is deteriorating. Toxic gases and pollutants from industrial
factories and vehicle exhaust adversely affect Earth's atmosphere. The biosphere
continues to absorb an increase in pesticides, the cutting and burning of the earth's rain
forests, and polluted water tables, rivers, and oceans.

Can't Hide From it !

Indoor air pollution is also a factor, carpets and particle board commonly used in
construction give off formaldehyde gases from the glues used as a bonding agent.
Mold, Mildew, Dust-mites, Pet Dander all contribute to our need for Oxygen.

Researchers estimate that the oxygen content of our atmosphere was once about 35%.
Today it is about 18-21%! In this polluted environment, we are not getting the optimum
levels of oxygen from breathing... Even when exercising.

Our Diet can Affect our Oxygen Levels …

Fresh fruits and vegetables contain high levels of oxygen. However, over-processed and
'junk' foods, processed sugar and white flour, alcohol, coffee and carbonated drinks are
relatively low in oxygen. So a diet skewed away from fresh fruits and vegetables means
that the body requires more oxygen to eliminate toxins and absorb the few nutrients in
foods already extremely low in oxygen.

Oxygen Powers the Brain …

Our ability to think, talk, act and even our emotions are all dependent on oxygen levels.
The brain consumes about 20% of our oxygen intake! Scientific studies have demonstrated
that an increase in oxygen can heighten concentration and alertness, calm the mind and
stabilize the nervous system.

Aging Decreases our Oxygen Levels …

With aging, according to research studies, our ability to maintain optimum oxygen levels
decreases 5% to 10% per decade between the ages of 25 and 75. The respiratory tract
deteriorates - as a result, lung function decreases. This causes an imbalance in the
exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the blood system. Cells lose the ability to carry
sufficient oxygen, and the oxygen deficiency increases. It takes longer to learn, retention
span is decreased, and all body systems must work even harder to eliminate toxins and
waste.
Oxygen for our Hearts…

Increased oxygen delivery to the heart, lowers the resting heart rate and strengthens the
contraction of the cardiac muscle. Many heart attacks result from a failure to deliver
oxygen to the hard working heart muscle (hypoxia). Mild hypoxia increases the heart and
respiratory rates; prolonged or severe hypoxia results in lung or heart failure. Researchers
state that a lack of oxygen is the prime cause of millions of heart attacks each year.

"Maintaining and improving our health may soon depend on our ability to supplement the
oxygen our bodies can no longer be expected to get naturally"
Exercise increases the human bodies need for Oxygen in turn creating fatigue and muscle
pain.   Oxygen before and after a work out will enhance your stamina, strength, energy,
and performance.
